Hi, Liz,

Actually, I did write a comment on your blog, but the coded word I was to decipher appeared as only a white block with a red x in it.

The workshop I took was "Called to Discipleship," led by Mary Kay Glazer. I later learned that she is enrolled in the School of the Spirit, and I believe that much of what she led us in was based on what she herself was learning.

The workshop was more Christian-oriented than I have the language for, having been raised an agnostic and picking up most of my Christian understanding off the streets (so to speak!). Or, when I was in college and taking courses in religion, those courses didn't really address the cross per se. As a Quaker of the liberal sort, I really wish to learn more about my cousins across the Society, and it appears the cross is something that means a lot to others.

Yours in the Light, Paula

Dear Liz,

Thank you so much for your report on Margery Post Abbott's talk. I felt it would be rewarding, and you make it possible for those of us who can't go to an event to learn from it. In particular, I have been struggling with ideas of the cross since taking a workshop at the FGC Gathering this summer. Having your definitions in hand--and definitions given by others--is very helpful.

I look forward to hearing more from you on this talk and other events in your life.

Yours in the Light, Paula

Hi, Liz - could I use your versions of the starfish and babies-in-the-river stories for the Durham UK Meeting newsletter, please? I'll credit you and link to your post. Thanks in advance!
