wow how we can have that ahh haa moment at any time in our lives amazes me. To me they are gift of grace that we have done nothing to receive!!

I have a wonderful human trait that i can't shake, I want to know the unknowable for a certainty!!(funny but it's true) I get into a state of mind almost like some one in a  drug craving search for their drug of choice, looking for TRUTH!!! surfing the internet for hours on different religious sites looking for spiritual TRUTH(i now find this…

while i know that internet, books, videos can't replace the joy and comfort of actual presence of people i am very thank full for these things in my life i received literature from the Britain yearly meeting. i was amazed they sent it all the way to Ohio USA. it only took 4 days. i wish there were more things around here for people who cant attend meeting but for right now i study spiritual writings and wait in silence(pray) at home by myself
i'm also uplifted by the friendships i am making…

Isolated and Friendless

I was so glad to find Quaker Quaker, it was literally a God send. I'm an attender, not being a member of a monthly meeting. I found a meeting about 45 minutes from my house and I attended. It was the greatest experience of my life. I had also attended a Buddhist mediation group and the experience was not the same FOR ME!! I had finally found what I was looking for and that was the best of both worlds the benefits of mediation but holding on to my theist beliefs. In my mind it was not me that… Continue
