Hello Josh - Quaker schools in UK are interesting places and their fee-paying status is controversial among f/Friends in light of our testimony to equality; even many Quakers in Britain cannot afford to send their children to them (despite the availability of bursaries). I recently moved to Reading in Berkshire, and attended Meeting for Worship at nearby Leighton Park School, so I could form my own view. It was very moving as I have never sat in silent worship with 400 teenagers before! The pupils also value the Quaker identity of the school even though the majority are not Quakers, they are keen that this is retained, and hopefully this influences their lives.
