Sorry to have taken so long to respond (due to severe storms and power outages from 6th Month 29th's bow echo storm). Thank thee for the acceptance of our invitation, Friend Carl. Blessings to thee as well.

Thy Friend,

Timothy

Thank you for telling me about the October 1st event. I may very well drive up there on that day. I'll have write it down, because I'm sure this next month and a half will pass by faster than I expect!

Also, thank you for the contact in Hanover Meeting. I am quite terrible with names, but if I remember Fran Brokow's than I will most certainly seek her out. Fran is quite a memorable name.

It would be wonderful if you could put up an announcement of some sort! What could be bad about bringing together people in Christ's name? Perhaps a monthly meeting for worship and bible reading, if people would be interested. Might as well see who's out there. What do you think?

I am very much looking forward to Vermont Tech. It will be quite an adventure to learn more about dairy management and livestock.

Hope you are well,

-Meg

Actually, I am no longer in Portland. I spent three months there and than decided I missed the green mountain state too much and returned to southern Vermont to work on a sheep farm. I did that for the spring, than I just returned from two months farming in South Korea, and now I'm getting ready to attend Vermont Tech in August for a two year Associates in Dairy Management. I'll be living in Norwich, so I'll give the Hanover meeting a try... But if I find their fellowship to be lovely but unsatisfying, I may make the first day trek to Plainfield Friend's Meeting.

Do you know of other Conservative Friends in Vermont or the area? Do you ever join together for fellowship? These are some of the things I've been wondering recently....

Thank you so much for your reply, and hope you're well.

-Meg

I am very glad to find your blog, Carl. I will spend much time reading it, I assure you.

Your visit to Columbus Friends in May 2010 has made a lasting difference in the vitality of our meeting. We are finally getting  around to ensuring that retreats and visitors become regular nourishment for us. Thank you, very belatedly, for coming among us.

Yours in Everlasting Love and Light, Paula

Hello Carl!

You may remember me... I attended the Plainfeild meeting a couple times last summer/fall while attending the New England Culinary Institute in Monpelier. I've recently been led to really dig deep and find myself a community to go further in following God, and I'm beginning by trying to find Conservative friends in Vermont. What a surprise, I recognized your face while looking through the comments of one of the articles on this website!

So I hope this message makes my friend request seem a little less strange and random. Hope you're well,

-Meg
