Summer Outreach in Pacific Northwest—Way of the Spirit

In the middle of its first year-long retreat cycle, the Way of  the Spirit program is looking ahead to 2013.

Three retreats over a year's time will empower Spirit-led service within and beyond faith communities in the Pacific Northwest. Participants will take part in serious study, an online reflection group, spiritual direction/guidance sessions, and supportive spiritual community.

The program welcomes Unprogrammed and Evangelical Quakers, members of diverse faith communities and unaffiliated seekers. For those in leadership or service roles — clerks, pastors, elders, counselors, educators, social activists, and others following their leadings—Way of the Spirit builds practical tools for faithfulness.

I'll speak and offer interest sessions for the 2013 program cycle at:

  • Pacific Northwest Quaker Women's Theological Conference, Tillicum, Oregon, June 13-17th.
  • North Pacific Yearly Meeting, Tacoma, Washington, July 18-22nd.
  • Northwest Yearly Meeting in Oregon,
    July 22-26th.

The new Facebook page is live: Way of the Spirit on Facebook Hope you "like" it!

Hear what participants are saying about the retreat cycle in progress. Sign our mailing list. Registration for 2013 begins in August.

You or someone you know may wish to hear more, so thank you for helping to spread this news widely! Let me know and I'll send brochures for your meeting or church.

With joy,

Christine Hall, coordinator, Way of the Spirit: Contemplative Study in Community

I am one of the participants in the Way of the Spirit. Chris has put together a great program. The retreats and the community that has formed have enriched my spiritual life and growth.
