[ EXHIBIT 1: Recent posting to npym-it-discuss, a listserv for those in NPYM interesting in yakking about matters IT ]

This is a link to a publicly archived listserv (intentional spelling, allusion to brand Listserv, which then became a generic, like kleenex and xerox).

I'm presenting the use case of NPYM considering what it would take to support mail-lists (regionally, not per MM, the status quo). You'll see my post quoted beneath the reply.

Wes (the responder) thinks that'd be too much overhead, the way I'm thinking of doing it (using a free open source Python mailman for the listserv back end, ala Python.org where I'm posting). He thinks we should just stick to Google.

Fun science fiction though, to imagine NPYM Friends having such a long list of listservs to choose from.

PS: anyone else see Blackkklansman? Our Multnomah Meeting racial justice listserv has been active on that topic, following a meetup at my house:

(feel free to contact me off list for news and views)
