Hello, Friend Keely!

Thank you for accepting my invitation. I do appreciate that so much! Thank thee for the welcome, and I hope to get to know thee better as time affords. Yes, I hope to find fellowship here, and I'm sure I will.

My husband has been a huge help in getting me signed in, posting pictures for me, getting my page established and dressed up, and helping me to find my way around here. Also, some groups to join, and Friends he has made invited for me!!! I couldn't have done this without his help!!! :):)

Again, thank you SO much! I hope to get to know thee more in the coming days and weeks, as I am able to! Blessings to you!

Hilda

Keely, Thank thee for thy question. Like all Quakers I regard every day as sacred, but we do as a family mark the Seventh Day. Following the Jewish, and Celtic Christian traditions, I regard the start of each new day as sunset, thus Seventh Day starts as the darkness marks the end of Sixth Day At sunset, or as close to it as we cane make with young children, we have a family meal together following readings and silent grace. For the rest of Seventh day and probably until about midday on First Day we are as free of electronic gadgets as possible  for me that means no computers and no phones and as much family time as possible. I could stand accused of mixing traditions, but it works and I find it meaningful and refreshing.

As for Messianic leanings, the last two years have seen incredible change and growth in me. I became a convinced Quaker as a teenager, but only in these last two years have I come close to that spirit that filled early Friends and is given to us in their writings, that the Lord is resurrected in each of us and that we only need to listen to that voice in the stillness to be whole. I strongly identify with those early Christians (most of them Jewish) and their ideas of the Messiah and how we prepare ourselves his return.

I would be interested to hear of thy journey and thy experience of the inward light.

Hi Keely,

What an encouraging comment!  Thank you so much, and we would be  grateful for any prayers for our Witness in Nicaragua.  If you're on Facebook, please follow ProNica.  It's one of the best ways to keep up with our our Witness.  If you would like to receive our quarterly newsletters (for youself, your meeting or both), please send me an email to pronica@verizon.net

Peace and Blessings,
