Sticks, Stones, and Words

You have all heard that old adage; Sticksand stones may break my bones but wordswill never hurt me.Do not believe it; it is the lie of all lies.Words do hurt; they hurt worse than abarrage of sticks and stones ever could.Ask any girl whose ever been called hippo, any boy whose ever been called fag, Anypoor person who has ever been asked infront of everyone; where do you get yourcloths from; a garbage dump.Yes; ask any  kid who has ever beenthe  target of mean words. Each one of those mentioned will tell youwithout hesitation that they would ratherface a mob of thousands with sticks and stonesthan to be the recipient of hurtful, uncaringwords hurled at them by their peers. That is why so many kids kill themselves everyyear; because when they go to someone aboutthe hurtful words they they have endured, all they receive in response is that old adage. That’s why situations like columbine happen; becausekids have endured such disrespect from their peersthat it is unbearable and the only advise…See More

Atheism or Religion; It appears both may be right

In the beginning was nothing.

No gasses, no matter, no slime, no proteins,

no matter, no dust, no universe, no nothing.

Well then; if there was nothing then how

did all that is come about.

The Non-Religious Christian community in

Oil City, Pa has one possible answer to this

question.

The answer they have could be acceptable to

both Atheist and Religious community’s alike.

Atheist say

success or failure

Success=acheiving that which you set out to acheive.  Failure=the opposite of success.  Can GOD fail? yes or no.  If the answer is no; and keeping in mind that GOD set out to acheive salvation for all humanity; then all humanity has to be saved. to say otherwise is to say GOD is a failure.

am welfare

Oil City, and Venango county in Pennsylvania

have their share of Welfare recipients.

They also have more than their share of less

than positive remarks, comments, and opinions

about those welfare recipients.

What they don’t have though; or at least you

never see or hear is comments, opinions, or

remarks from the welfare recipients  view.

What is it like to be on welfare.

What do they feel, what do they want or

desire from…

Giveing

To Police Officers we give free coffee and snacks. To politicians we give thousand dollar watches and million dollar cars. For Mega Churches we buy Stained Glass and Gold Alters. To the poor we give Moldy Bread, Dirty Clothes, and Broken Toys. To those with well paying jobs we give that which we ourselves can't ... afford. To those with…
