"I can't speak to the question about songwriting, as I have little experience in that field (I did write one song, years ago-- or rather, I collaborated with a musician, writing the lyric).   Perhaps I can suggest that the topic is…"

"Forrest and Jeff, First off I did not call anyone evil. I was referring to the acts themselves. Yes, we all can commit evil acts. There are a lot of Quakers who feel we, as part of our country are implicit in the evil of war. So, with that cleared…"

"I have personally been pondering this question lately. I am so appalled by the violence directed at women by Sharia law (probably not spelled right). Someone sent a video to a local friends discussion, of a woman being stoned to death. I did not…"

"True enough Rosemary, that being said, there are a lot of cautions put out there. I have heard people express a reluctance to have their words questioned. Maybe thats the rub, people just have to say what they believe there supposed to say, and if…"

Rosemary Gould replied to anne stansell's discussion 'Are Quakers Afraid of self-expression?' in the group Music and the Arts
"At the same time, if no one ever said anything about what we hope might happen in Worship and how it grows out of stillness within, meeting would often devolve into nothing but talk. There's something beyond self expression that we strive for,…"
