My intention is to be in my right place, learning the language of the Holy Spirit, being attentive to the work the Great Spirit has for me in the moment with attention to my 3 covenants with God and follow as best I can a call from the Holy Spirit 'to travel to friends meetings to heal them of their pain'.

My early religious experience was Presbyterian, then Christian Science from age 13 to 19 to no organized religion until I was about 39 when I was led to grow with the Quakers. Called to a public ministry in August 2005 at Sandy Spring (MD) FM where I was visiting and knew no one. Given by the Holy Spirit, witnessed by Mary Stevenson who offered me the pure love of Christ working through her to counsel and nurture me that day.

“Calming the Rhetoric” - An Appeal for Healing

I am carrying a concern for the need to “calm the rhetoric” of our current American culture and especially of our elected officials and candidates for election and I am wondering if there are others with an interest in this issue.  I hope so.  My concern is that the use of destructive and inflammatory language has become a behavioral habit for many of our County’s citizens and is so prevalent in local and national politics that our two major…

Can God Change?

Fellow Seekers,

I have always been taught that God does not change but since I was little I found it unsettling that God's behavior as written in the Old Testament was different than what is written in the New Testament.  I asked questions about it but have never been satisfied by the answers.  Only recently have I started thinking about this again.  God is considered to be by believers (as I am), to be the source of life.  But what is life and how is it experienced by those of us who…

Presence by God

If I were to truly live in the moment attentive, centered in the presence and obedient, other thoughts and images only clutter the landscape.

Who are the friends of Truth?

It is good that Friends shortened their name from the older "Friends of Truth" because true friends of Truth are by no means restricted to one society. Many are walking around loose, unaffiliated.

Hi! Welcome all fellow Seekers. I sure don't know what I am doing starting a blog today except that I felt led to it. It is my intention to write only words that the Holy Spirit provides. This project seems difficult since I am not surrounded by a room full of friends in worship. But there are still the friends unseen that I am counting on. Welcome all!
