Is cooking a divine gift?

Posted on 5th mo. 5, 2009 at 1:54am 4 Comments

Just posted on Hungry Friends about a book that inspired a conversation about many things, including whether good cooks have a certain divine je ne sais quois, or if they just follow cookbooks really well. What do you think?

Hi Shaun,
My name is Paul Ricketts member of Fort Wayne Friends Meeting and Moderator for the Friends of Color yahoo listserve. The mission of the
listserve is to support attenders and members of color(African Americans Asian & Pacific Islander Latina & Latino & Native Americans) who attend Quakers Meetings. Sharing books you have read that could help us to grow spiritually, joys and concerns we can hold in the Light , conferences and retreats for people of color , and peace and social concerns affecting communities of color. I cannot remember if you sent me email inquiring about the listserve. I search through listserve membership and could not recognize your name. Please let me know if would like to join....

Oh, I'm so glad you recognized me here and reached out! I didn't begin to get enough time with you at Rep meeting. This is great. Will you be going to SAYMA yearly meeting?

Hi Shaun, Thanks for finding me! It was good to meet you as well, and it would be nice to see Huntsville and Birmingham Friends make more opportunities to be with each other.
