Timothy Bruffy said… I really like your pictures. Thanks for sharing them here. I thought the mountains here were a nice size, but those out west are even higher! It really looks like a beautiful place in British Columbia, Canada. The highest point in Virginia is Mount Rodgers: 5,729 ft and those look much taller yet still!
Blessings to you.
Dear Rob: Oh I love sheep. Would you please pet a sheep for me, from me to the sheep. (does that make sense?? They are so cute. .
Dear Rob,
Thank you for your thoughtful reply. It is a comfort to hear from someone who is called to something similar... I know what you mean by it being funny to live out your faith by doing what you love. I struggle with the concept, knowing that the bible gives examples of so much more obvious and straightforward ways to live out His will. I hope that I will someday come to peace with that.
If I am ever in BC I may seek you out to see if I can visit your ranch, and maybe take a class.

Dear Rob,
I'm a convinced Conservative Friend in VT, U.S. I'm only 20 and studying dairy management in college, and was delighted to see someone who is both a rancher and a conservative quaker. Especially with sheep! I feel a great affinity for those woolly creatures. Anyway, I just wanted to message you because I'm curious about how your faith ties in with your work, if you feel comfortable to answer. Thank you and God bless,
-Meg

Looks like you live in a beautiful area and have a wonderful way of life. I've been to British Columbia a couple of times quite awhile back now, and have some relatives living there, primarily in the Okanagan. So glad you've shared all these wonderful pictures!

Margaret Bienert said… Hi, Rob
Your page is looking pretty "sprucey" to me now, especially for a plain-minded Friend! How wonderful that you have sheep! Always a half-dream of mine.
Looking forward to getting to know you.
peace & blessings,
Margaret
