Micky Jo Myers replied to Jeffrey Carr's discussion 'Friends & Theology'
"I am going to use #10 to say I completely disagree with Barclay on 3,5,7,9 and especially 4. :) If I consider myself Quaker, isn't that enough to make me Quaker? If not, I definitely got to get a seat on that deciding committee."

Joel Allen Berndt commented on Micky Jo Myers's blog post 'The Question of Christ’s Divinity is Irrelevant'
"He became as we are, that we may become as he is. Whether we should worship him as total God, total man, something more, seems to me to be an individual decision. Imposing our interpretation on others has been the excuse for many a Christian…"

The Question of Christ’s Divinity is Irrelevant

Was Jesus divine? This question appears to be important. Some Christians believe it is the ultimate question and that your answer decides whether you are saved or damned. Almost everyone has an opinion one way or another. Countless books and essays have been written on the topic. It is at the heart of why Quakers split into different acronyms.Traditionally there have only been three discussed beliefs concerning the divinity of Christ. The first being Christ is infallible, holy and is to be…See More

About Me
I am a convinced Quaker, a married Bisexual and a pro-choice advocate.

I attend Englewood Friends Meeting. While I love my Meeting dearly, I am not officially a member due to their unfortunate affiliation with Indiana Yearly Meeting.

One of my poems will be appearing in Spirit Rising: Young Quaker Voices to be published in late April of 2010 by Quakers Uniting in Publications (QUIP).
