Alice M Yaxley replied to MJ's discussion 'Resources' in the group Plainness & Simplicity
"Hello G. H. and welcome to the site. I apologize I'm not able to point out any good sites for buying tights. I don't tend to wear those myself - I wear over-knee leggings and longish socks instead, and tend to buy those from worldly…"

Isabel Penraeth replied to MJ's discussion 'Resources' in the group Plainness & Simplicity
"I will tell thee G.H. that I have had no good look finding tights I like. I tried the ones at Gohn Bros and GVS (http://quakerjane.com/spirit.friends/plain_dress-plain.html#below) but they were the type that (on me) rolled at the waist. I did like…"

G.H. replied to MJ's discussion 'Resources' in the group Plainness & Simplicity
"Hi I'm G. and I live in the midwest of the U.S. I've been a Mennonite by conviction for 25 years. I've dressed simply on and off for most of those years. Lately I've been feeling called to adopt this permanently. I don't…"

Tom Smith replied to MJ's discussion 'Quaker Cyber Schools?????' in the group Family Life

Hey MJ....you and I dress similarily, although I tend more towards the Orthodox Jewish style...here are some great resources for long skirts and simple tops:
www.tznius.com
www.shukronline.com
www.shadeclothing.com
www.layersclothing.com
One is Orthodox Jewish, one is Islamic, and the last two are Mormon!! I have clothes from every single one of these, and love them. Theses constitute my "uniform". They offer many Plain colours, but their length and modesty are of the sort that you cannot find in mainstream stores.
You may already know about there, but thought I would share when I read your post describing your present day dress.
Blessings, Rebecca
