About Me
Human being, world citizen, free spirit, wife, writer, poet, photographer, painter, ecologist, former teacher, lifelong student. I am too well read when it comes to spiritual paths for my own good. I look for the common thread of light in everything. You'd be surprised how much all Spirit speaks the same language. I have Advaita Vedanta & Zen tendencies, Jewish, Celtic Christian and transcendentalist leanings. I am seeking the Christ, but most Christians I've talked to either consider me a heretic or pagan. I am not tied in any way to purely historical understandings and am hardly considered conservative; I often think myths and metaphors tell us more about ourselves than any biography. I'm here because I yearn for a community where I can talk about God openly, and the light that is present in each of us, without being scolded for the notion. I have had certain mystical experiences that most religious types have no idea what to do with: unmediated God Presence. I know hardly anything about Quakers, but very much want to learn more. I'm here to learn and share with you.

Notes on Belief

I am a religions junkie. Probably because I don’t have one of my own, I kinda find the same pieces floating everywhere, in different language, but the symbols are all the same…

My early background, until 14 really is Vedanta. And it shapes me, no doubt. But I also know a fair bit about Judaism and more about Christian Scriptures than even some clergy have been able to appropriate. I have gone into many churches, talked to many, many kinds of…

Oh yay! Thanks for saying that about my blog! I feel most of the time it is just self-indulgent drivel, but apparently a lot of people relate to that!! :) Do you live on the East Coast? Looking forward to getting to "know" you more. Blessings!
