Pardon the length, but this is something I wrote to another Friend.
I live in the Sun City development between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, GA. I am a member of Savannah Monthly Meeting, which is part of Southeastern Yearly Meeting (mostly FGC oriented). Otherwise, Quaker contacts are 75-150 miles away. When I lived in Ithaca and Binghamton, NY I was actively involved in Quaker activities. My wife's ill health brought us south in November of 2000, and my activities have lagged.
For a quick review:
I attended Baltimore Friends School from 1957-1963, and was on the religious life committee.
I went on to Earlham College, which I loved. I even took Philosophy of Religion from Elton Trueblood.
While I was in graduate school at Syracuse, I became a recorded member of Syracuse Friends Meeting in 1968.
Later on, while living in Binghamton, New York I served as clerk of the local meeting and became involved in NYYM. I served on the ministry and counsel coordinating committee of the yearly meeting, including one year as clerk.
That's about it for now.
