- About Me
- I am a member of the Wanganui Friends Meeting in Wanganui, New Zealand.
I am originally from the USA where I worked for the Smithsonian Institution. In 1993 I moved to 'the land of the long white cloud' - Aotearoa (New Zealand) to embark on a design teaching career. Interestingly Wanganui was the location of the first Quaker school in New Zealand. So, even though I moved to the other side of the planet I felt like I was 'home' as Quaker.
My Quaker relatives helped establish Corinth Friends Meeting in Sedley Virginia.
I am an educator, designer (graphic design), artist, poet, musician, and street performing magician.

Just read your blog post this afternoon and want you to know that I am thinking of you and holding you in the light. I've not experienced exactly what you are going through, but have had some circumstances in relation to chronic illnesses as well, enough to somewhat understand a bit the difficult place you are in. Please remember that you are a valuable Friend with a purpose in this mystery called life.
