"As someone who did travel within a Liberal Yearly Meeting in the past and was totally turned by Quaker nostalgia as someone just starting to attend meeting again because during Quarantine silent waiting helped me through as much as in the past I…"
Hey I used to be active within Illinois Yearly Meeting I don't identify as a Friend in an official way as being a member of a meeting but try to let my life speak as a Jew. In other words, I may not be a member of a meeting and am an active member of a synagogue but I still utilize silent waiting sometimes in the context of a meeting, sometimes at home, and affirm the testimonies within my own life.
Am I a Friend? I ask myself as a query a lot despite being highly active within Friends before. I am just going to let my life speak here as best it can hopefully strengthen the journey which we all are on.
