- About Me
- I'm a Friend whose faith was fed by a mom discovering Quakerism. She was grounded in the faith of her father (Anglican)and her French nurse (RC), still, very excited about this faith she'd found in college. At the time she was teaching me, turns out she was reading Gandhi and Albert Schweitzer. It rubbed off. I call myself a pacifist. I do my best to be ready to respond with God's guidance. Been working for Quakers for 16 years, laid off, and looking for doors opening.
Summer 2011
Replacing an old 2009 event which ended up canceled due to undersubscription, sadly. but see no way to delete, so .... news of life since 2009...
2009 folded into 2010, my cancer once treated seems to be in remission, and I begin a life officially in retirement. Then 2010 plays a trick, and my sweet life partner dies with no warning, to us or to him.
Is retirement due to hold? or will I return to work? Discernment continues, as does service in my community and among Friends.
