Hello Jeff - I'm a British Liberal Quaker but interested in Evangelical Quakerism, and am doing a comparative academic study between BYM and NWYM (the later having split over the issue of same-sex marriage in recent years). I understand that conversion experience is important to Evangelicals; is this emphasized when Friends are convinced and apply for membership, and is the practice of testimonials common?
