About Me
I'm an earth-centered, Goddess oriented Quaker who was first drawn to Friends because I felt Quakerism was "Christianity the way Jesus probably did it." I've been a part of totally Universalist meetings before where no one was flustered at all when I call myself a Quitch or Quaker Witch but where many people did not want to hear me talk about Jesus. For me, no matter how Universalist a person or meeting is, George Fox was inspired by Christ -- not Buddha, not Demeter, not an oak tree or anything else. I want to preserve and honor the Christian foundation of Quakerism while still celebrating the rich diversity of Universalist Friends. I'm inspired by people asking "What can (must?) Friends bring to the world?" and am also asking that question of myself while discerning how to walk my talk in daily life.
