Hi Alice! Thanks for reading my comment! The other day when i posted that comment i was dealing with a bit of "spiritual crisis" due to the fact that one of my friends is dying of terminal cancer...as a former "conservative holiness christian" i was taught that my prayers could affect the outcome of her struggle...sometimes as a Liberal Quaker i feel(from the mainstream liberal literature at present) i feel like i can pray or "hold my friend in the light" as much as possible BUT i can't affect anything. I know i am making broad sweeping generalizations right now but it's been a struggle! I love being a Quaker! I really do! My new found faith in the Light has been all i have been searching for for years and more...there is just some "residual" stuff still popping up from my Strict Christian faith from before. Any thoughts for me?

Are you going to write more about your struggles today? I beleive that God can teach and help us through our stuggles, that we can offer them to God for God's glory. I would be interested to read where you're at if it would help to write it out in public.
