6 Weeks and Counting

Hello Friends, It's been an interesting few weeks to say the least. First off, I found out on the 1st of the month that I am pregnant. Don't tell ok? He,he! My dear husband is quite concerned and want's to keep things under wraps until we hit the three month mark. For reasons I'll go over shortly I feel the need to tell, I need community support in this. This is my second pregnancy. My first was in August of 2009. I carried to 13 weeks but when the midwives checked for the heartbeat none could…See More

"Remeber who you are...."

About 6 years ago I did a lot of yoga. And I mean A LOT. At least three times a week. I remember during one of the quiet meditative sessions that a voice very clearly spoke up in myself. It said, "Remember who you are". It was a troubled time in my life. I was heading towards another binge stage of my alcoholism, smoking a lot of pot, eating very poorly and running myself ragged through work among other things. That was a turning point though. It has taken me the last 6 years to really begin to…See More

About Me
I am a seeker. Over the last two years I have slowly but inexorably towards not just the Religious Society of Friends, but to a Christian (and Liberal) based form of the faith. This was a bit of a shocker for me, I've been a practising Pagan for 13 years. I cannot deny it any longer at this point, to do so would be detrimental to my well being on every level.
While the ideals of the Liberal branch speak to me, I find I am also called to plain dress, head covering, and plain living.
That being said, please forgive me if I step on anyone's toes, or put my foot in my mouth and offend someone.
