Although a Liberal Friend, I am strongly Christian in my convictions and feel sometimes put off by some Friends who have a somewhat anti-Christian discourse in our meetings. By reading Fox and Barclay I have realized how profoundly Christian our religion is.
I would say that I am a Theologically Conservative Leaning Liberal Quaker. I am also a gay man married to a Buddhist Quaker...It doesn't get more liberal than that.
I am also planning to attend the New Monasticism and Convergent Friends retreat in November at Pendle Hill.
