Union Station in Chicago. Traveling alone while plain is a unique experience.

The friend I was visiting, she was dropping me off. Then I realized my train was leaving in five minutes and I had to do a mad dash to find the correct line XD

Just curious:  who took the picture?

Take heart, I've been asked if I drove a vehicle of if I use horse-drawn transportation! :)

Thank you Mr. Bruffy, for that well worded explanation. This was taken in Union Station, the hub for train lines in Chicago. I was leaving after having taken a trip from Michigan to Illinois, and was then making the return trip back. Especially while traveling by train, when you are sitting with folk for a good long while, can be a unique window into peoples perceptions of you. One woman didn't think I'd know how to speak English!

I believe the ingredient that spurs a unique experience in a large metro area, is the variety of peoples coming and going. Some look askance. Some look troubled. Some look at the person as if they are out of place and time. Some sneer at the person simply, modesty, and plainly clothed. Others still are very inquisitive, with some being sincere and some not so. Some just look to gawk and wag their heads in disgust. That, I feel, is the reason for a unique experience. . . (I haven't loaded any pictures on yet, because I don't have any good ones to load! =)

What makes the experience unique?
