I just completed this field bag using the old leather from a sofa I re-upholstered. The lining is wool from a full length women's coat. Being an amature lichenologist and bird watcher focusing on the nest cycle of nesting birds, I have ever attempted to create the perfect field bag from re-cycled and re-purposed materials. Some may notice the zipper colors don't match; that's because I don't go out and buy new matching zippers for each bag I make. I use what I am able to re-cycle.

You reallly are quite talented with making these! You could sell them at craft fairs!

Thank you Patrice. It is interesting you suggest fairs. I've been thinking about expanding to the fair circuit.
