I'm wondering if any of you noticed job hunting/interviews becoming more difficult after going Plain. For example, did you used to have a relatively easy time finding a new job, but after going Plain, you're getting a lot more rejections?

Your timing is great--I am a job coach taking a student to a job interview today. I am not the one being interviewed, per se, my student is. I am also not plain, but I do dress very modestly (modest shirt, long skirt, no makeup, etc.) and I will be working on the job with a student for some time. I generally dress "normally" for interviews and then dress modestly as the job progresses. So today is the first time I initially will have shown up like this and I'll keep you posted. I live in an area with some modest, covering Mennonites. We used to see them out and about in businesses a lot but they are less conservative in dress nowadays. Thanks for your post.
