Jan Lyn posted a list of books for Quaker kids.

What would you add?

Thanks for posting the list, Alice. You know, since I made that list I keep thinking of books I want to add. Here are 2 additional books that are not Quaker per say, but really have the theme of earth stewardship and stress the good one person can do. My youngest just read them this summer even though they are a bit young for her. I'd say for they are good for ages 4-8 or so.

The Gardener, Sarah Stewart
Miss Rumphius, Barbara Cooney

I'd love to see lots of additions here and especially for older children.
Thanks!
Jan Lyn
I found this quite interesting and printed it off to review for possible use with my children today. Possibly you all are aware of it, but I will list it just incase you are not. It is entitled The Friendly Seed- 'Teaching Quaker Faith and Practice to Children', and it is published by the Curriculum Subcommittee for Religious Education (PYM) and it is free to download here: http://www.pym.org/education/capsules/30.htm. It looks easy enough to follow and teach and also provides several hands-on projects to do with your children.
