John Edminster just posted information about "In Jesus' Name: The Second Annual Northeast Gathering of Christ-Cen...," taking place Sept 3-6 at Powell House in Old Chatham NY.

Great question Kristina: this is one place you can let Friends know about other things happening. Events and meet-ups don't have to be officially Quaker--most probably won't be. What I hope is that when someone says "hey I'm interested in the Friends way and live in New York, where can I find like-minded people" we'll be able to point them to this group and get them hooked up.

I joined the NY group mostly to ask a question? It is asked out of naivete and without agenda. But, rather than forming a new, smaller group -- why not just join an already happening emergent cohort in one's area and have a discussions with other Christians who are asking similar questions? I have also found that Friends have much to add to the emergent conversation... just wondering.
