The African continent is home to many Friends. Kenya alone has 15 yearly meetings with a total of around 300,000 members. The Friends World Committee for Consultation African Section is a good listing and news source for Friends on the continent.

The African Great Lakes Initiative (AGLI) of the Friends Peace Teams strengthens, supports, and promotes peace activities at the grassroots level in the Great Lakes region of Africa.

These geographic-based Groups are based on activity of members. We'd love to see more blogs from and about African Friends. As activity increases, we'll add Groups for more specific regions.
