what to do with pain
shoulders ache
neck aches
back aches
especially fingers ache
how to bear it

is it more noble to never mention
pain to others
bear it privately and carry on

or is it better
to share pain
because everyone has pain

what if pain is shared
and no one is interested
or labels you pain
and stops inviting you to do things

please tell me your pain
i will listen
i will care
I will pray for you

what if I share
and you share
together can we  ease pain

I bring my pain to God
my one sure action

pain is personal
and often lonely

what to do with pain
do you know

The best use for pain?

this is what I find

use it to soak your heart

to grow compassion in your mind

bring it back to memory

to the surface of your life

whenever you see someone

bombarded with life's strife

pain is a helpful partner

in adding fervency to prayer

for another's problems

because we've all been there
