Primitive Christianity Revived, Again

Hi everyone: I'm planning on making some tweaks with how the Featured Editors picks show up on the site. I've been running an experiment since early Summer, reposting every Featured Pick selection by hand--day in and day out. Although it's only a ten minute process per post, it adds up to a lot of work and interrupts my day. It's been an interesting experiment but it doesn't seem to have increased engagement or brought a lot of new people in, so I'm reverting back to the old system, where Featured Picks display on the homepage but aren't part of the underlying Ning system. The main effect is that you won't be able to comment on QuakerQuaker, which is fine because 90% of our links go to blogs with commenting features.

One positive side effect is that posts should display more quickly (they don't have to wait for me) and show up even if I'm ignoring the site for a few days in the name of work, family or travel. I'll no doubt be doing experiments with the Facebook and Twitter streams as well. I'm interested in bridging the gap between QQ on Facebook and QQ on QuakerQuaker.org.

God bless,
Martin
