Event Description

Interfaith Gathering of Sonoma County neighbors who seek peace in the World

   -   Interfaith Peace Fast
   -   Hiroshima Remembrance
   -   Multi-Faith Ceremony
   -   Community Pot Luck Dinner

Pure tones of a bamboo flute will usher in an evening of devotions, remembrance and good will. Bay Area author and Hiroshima bombing survivor Takashi Tanemori will speak on his journey from bitterness and despair to forgiveness and peace making.

Some of us will fast for peace on Saturday (Aug. 6), following whatever fasting method we prefer. Muslims will be fasting from sunrise to sunset, observing their sacred month of Ramadan.

We will break our fasts together at sundown, then share a potluck dinner. Vegetarian dishes preferred. No pork or alcohol please.
